ValGroup member firms have access to $10 million of Professional Indemnity Insurance (PI) cover. This scheme was developed in conjunction with Rothbury-Austinsure to provide members with access to high-quality cover at competitive premiums than would otherwise be available to them.

The scheme is based on each member firm having an individualised primary policy with $5 million of cover, along with a secondary excess layer providing a further $5 million of cover. The cost of the individualised primary policy depends on claims history and turnover, while the secondary excess layer premium is shared among members who wish to access the full $10 million of PI cover.

This structure allows smaller member firms to obtain higher levels of cover at premiums they can afford.

Key to the ValGroup culture is the high-trust model in which members operate. Member firms can freely share information and assist with one another, working within non-overlapping territories that eliminate internal competition.

Furthermore, “The Forum” is a unique web/email based data share facility for all issues valuation. Categorised into property categories for ease of sorting and access to rent and sales data. More significantly members can ask for any type of data or discuss methodology for certain jobs as another member might already have previous experience in this area. Consequently, our network provides a seamless, integrated service for our clients, nationwide.

Each member has the flexibility to adapt the findings to suit their own needs and timeline. A recent example is the IT review completed by all member firms, which resulted in the majority upgrading their computer systems and delivering meaningful efficiency gains.

ValGroup organises an annual conference, with member offices taking turns to host, alternating between the North and South Islands.
